Opening Tues October 2nd

Light in My Pathway's store front will open Tuesday, October 2nd at The Market at 76067 located in historic downtown Mineral Wells 100 South Oak.

My display for the cards arrived today (none too soon I might add!). I took it to The Market soon after and filled it with cards.

Vendors of The Market will meet on Monday October 1st for a preview and to educate those working The Market on our products.

I'm excited and a bit nervous.

It is absolutely beautiful inside. I hope if you're in the area you will come check it out!

First Customer Order

Most of the cards I make are A2 which means they are 4.25 x 5.5 or half of an 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper.

I can and will make 5x7 upon request. My first customer order was just that. I was asked to make a 40th birthday card for a woman's twin sister. She had looked through my portfolio of cards I had made previously and decided upon this image and sentiment. I did the rest. She absolutely loved it! (I did too!)

 This next card is also a 5x7 for the same customer. This card was for her mother-in-law. She loved it too!

Arts and Craft Fair

Saturday, September 22nd I attended my first Arts and Craft Fair as Light in My Pathway at Emmanuel Church in Weatherford, Texas.

My display I set up the night before.

I had a friend from my church come to see me! Not a good picture of me but a great one of her. I don't know what was up with me squinting!

The youth from the church were selling baked goods and food during the fair to raise money.

This was the best surprise of the day. A friend I met through the scrapbooking industry when I worked for our local scrapbook store. She came from Stephenville. I hadn't seen her in a couple of years!

I didn't sell a lot of cards but in a way I was glad as I wanted to be sure and have enough when The Market at 76067 opens October 2nd.

Christmas Already?!

Time to think about Christmas! What?! You heard me right. Christmas. Do you realize that there is a little over 3 months before Christmas??!!

Now in the world of "handcrafted" items one must already be thinking that far ahead to allow enough time to complete those projects. In fact, depending on the complexity of the item being handcrafted or how many handcrafted items you are making one should begin as early as June.

I am pleased to let you know that I am working on Christmas cards now.

The verse on the inside of this card is "May your days be Merry & Bright"

The verse inside this card says "Merry Christmas and a happy New Year."

The verse inside this card reads "Wishing you and yours a magical holiday season and wondrous new year".

Each card comes with a decorated envelope.
